Terms of Service
The BKS association of Australia and teachers at The Yoga Co. are committed to the highest quality teaching methods of BKS Iyengar as taught in accordance with Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Institute in Pune.
The Association recognises teachers at The Yoga Co. as teachers assessed, certified and licensed to teach by the Association or by Yogacharya BKS Iyengar in accordance with international guidelines.
The BKS Iyengar Yoga Association of Australia and teachers at The Yoga Co. advise that participants/students taking part in the Yoga classes with teachers at The Yoga Co. understand and acknowledge that:

they are taking party in a physical activity, which may result in physical or other injury to the participant/student.These injuries cannot be specified but are not limited to strain of muscles of joints.

they note the warning of a risk of possible injury during the participation in any yoga programme/class.

they take part in the yoga programme/classes entirely at their own risk and
-
the organisers of the yoga programme/classes do not accept any liability of whatsoever nature and however arising in respect of any claim ,damages, loss, injury or expense suffered directly or indirectly by any participant/student arising out of or in connection with his/her participation in the Yoga classes.
It is a requirement and the responsibility of each participant/student taking part in the Yoga class

to inform the teacher before the beginning of the class if they have any problems with regards to their general health or if a student of long standing, changes to their health.

to inform the teacher of any significant health problems(past or present or any that develop whilst a student)

to inform the teacher if she is pregnant or menstruating.

to have consulted with their physician before beginning a yoga programme/class if they have significant health problems or are pregnant.

to listen carefully and follow the teachers instructions at all times.

to ask the teacher to clarify the direction given by the teacher if they do not understand.

to understand that if they experience pain in any particular pose to come out of the pose and consult with the teacher.

to speak to the teacher if they are in any doubt or have any concerns about their ability to practice yoga.
It is integral part of each participant’s/student`s yoga practice:
9. to arrive on time for class
10. to adhere to an appropriate level of personal hygiene
11. to respect the property and the equipment they use.
It is suggested that the participant/student wear loose, comfortable clothing for class and not eat at least two hours before attending a class.
The BKS Iyengar Yoga Association of Australia and teachers at The Yoga Co. recommend that the above guidelines should be followed and excludes, to the extend permitted by law, all liability for any personal injury or damage whether direct, indirect, special or consequential) suffered by the participant/student whilst participating in a yoga programme/class.
By signing up for a class at The Yoga Co. I acknowledge I have read the above mentioned and accept its terms.
